The Licentiate in Sacred Theology (S.T.L.) is a research-oriented, advanced graduate degree in theology with a specialization in Sacramental Theology. This a research degree that prepares graduates for scholarly research in the fields of Gnosticism, sacramental liturgy, and theology.

The purpose of such graduate study is to prepare students for further study at the doctoral level, for the ministry of teaching theology, writing, and other specialized ministries within the Gnostic Catholic community. Professional ministry issues are not a focus of this program. Nevertheless, the program is designed to provide a theological foundation for ministerial service.

A candidate for the Licentiate in Sacred Theology degree must complete a thesis. A document 20,000-25,000 words in length (excluding footnotes, bibliography, front matter, graphs, charts, or research instruments). The bibliography should include a minimum of at least forty scholarly resources consulted in the research for the Thesis.

Each student will be assigned an academic advisor to help him or her throughout this program. (Only available in English)

Prerequisite: The Bachelor of Theology or Master of Theology and access to a computer with internet capabilities
